ISP trying to identify deceased man found in Ripley County

RIPLEY COUNTY — Detectives from the ISP-Versailles Post are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was found deceased in rural Ripley County.

Troopers were called to a location west of the town of Osgood, Indiana shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday after a man was found deceased.

At this point, the identity of the man remains a mystery and the cause of death is not known, state police said. The information available at this point is that the individual is a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, in his 30s to mid-40s. The deceased had some distinct tattoos that are being shared with the hopes that someone recognizes the tattoos and can assist in identifying the person.
