INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 1,272 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 717,564 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
To date, 12,902 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 19 from the previous day. Another 410 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
A total of 3,371,140 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,366,463 on Tuesday. A total of 9,711,225 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
Bartholomew County reported 7,981 positive tests (up eight) with 155 deaths (no change) as of Wednesday.

Jackson County: 4,970 positive cases (up four) with 72 deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 2,271 positive cases (up five) with 48 deaths (no change).
Decatur County: 2,812 positive cases (up two) with 92 deaths (no change).
Shelby County: 4,844 positive cases (up three) with 95 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 17,701 positive cases (up 30) with 375 deaths (no change).
Brown County: 1,009 positive cases (up one) with 41 deaths (up one).

Hoosiers age 16 and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule a vaccine, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance.
Vaccine is available at two mass vaccination sites this week. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is offering both Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines through Friday. Appointments are preferred, but drive-ups are accepted. On Friday, families with children age 16 and older are encouraged to visit the speedway to receive the first dose of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine. Second dose appointments will be scheduled at the time of the first dose.
As of Wednesday, a total of 4,114,426 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 2,315,568 first doses and 1,798,858 individuals who are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number represents individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.

Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
