INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health announced today that 824 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 724,214 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
To date, 12,950 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 12 from the previous day. Another 413 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
A total of 3,397,243 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,394,981 on Monday. A total of 9,875,046 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
Bartholomew County reported 8,036 positive tests (up six) with 155 deaths (no change) as of Tuesday.
Surrounding counties reported:
- Jackson County: 4,996 positive cases (up seven) with 72 deaths (no change).
- Jennings County: 2,288 positive cases (up three) with 48 deaths (no change).
- Decatur County: 2,829 positive cases (up three) with 92 deaths (no change).
- Shelby County: 4,881 positive cases (up nine) with 96 deaths (no change).
- Johnson County: 17,832 positive cases (up 14) with 376 deaths (up one).
- Brown County: 1,014 positive cases (up two) with 41 deaths (no change).

As of Tuesday, a total of 4,345,484 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 2,376,140 first doses and 1,969,344 individuals who are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number represents individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
