Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company plans to close lanes overnight next week on I-65 northbound and southbound at the Deaver Road overpass in Bartholomew County for installation of deck pans over the interstate. The work is scheduled ahead of pouring the concrete bridge deck in the coming weeks.
Lane closures will take place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting Monday and continue through May 13, weather permitting. The closures will help protect traffic from overhead work at the overpass.
Deaver Road will remain closed over I-65 through mid-to-late June for continued work on a superstructure replacement project. The official detour follows County Road 175W to County Road 450S/State Road 58 to County Road 300W.
In addition, an overnight lane closure is planned tonight (Thursday, May 6) on I-65 southbound at mile marker 64 in Bartholomew County for guardrail repair. A single lane will close from approximately 9 p.m. Thursday night to 6 a.m. Friday morning.
Southbound traffic remains shifted to the outside lane and shoulder throughout project limits (mile marker 64 to mile marker 68). The $65 million added travel lanes contract is expected to be complete in 2023.
