INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health announced today that 900 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 732,692 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
To date, 13,033 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of five from the previous day. Another 417 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
A total of 3,436,875 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,432,248 on Wednesday. A total of 10,104,400 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
Bartholomew County reported 8,078 positive tests (up five) with 156 deaths (no change) as of Thursday.
Surrounding counties reported:
- Jackson County: 5,027 positive cases (up four) with 73 deaths (no change).
- Jennings County: 2,304 positive cases (up three) with 49 deaths (no change).
- Decatur County: 2,854 positive cases (no change) with 92 deaths (no change).
- Shelby County: 4,931 positive cases (up four) with 96 deaths (no change).
- Johnson County: 18,007 positive cases (up 19) with 379 deaths (no change).
- Brown County: 1,024 positive cases (up one) with 41 deaths (no change).

Patients with an appointment at a state-hosted public vaccination site can get a free UBER ride. Call 2-1-1 or (866) 211-9966 to receive a voucher to cover the cost of an Uber ride to and from your vaccination appointments.
As of today, a total of 4,696,852 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 2,470,237 first doses and 2,226,615 individuals who are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number represents individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
