Hope 911 service disrupted, callers advised to use non-emergency number

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew County 911 Communications Center has been advised that 9-1-1 services for customers in the Hope area have been interrupted. Residents in the Hope area may not be able to contact 9-1-1 emergency dispatchers when calling from a landline. Cellular service to 9-1-1 should not be impacted.

Those individuals that need to speak with 9-1-1 emergency dispatcher and are unable to make contact should call the non-emergency number at 812-379-1689.

Officials with AT&T have dispatched technicians to the scene. There is currently no estimated time of repair, according to dispatchers.
