North gets perfect game
Maddi Rutan threw a perfect game Tuesday to lead Columbus North to a 3-0 win against Jennings County.
Rutan struck out 15 of the 21 batters she faced. She also had a double and two RBIs to lead the Bull Dogs (20-4) at the plate.
Kenzie Matern threw a three-hitter for the Panthers (10-16).
Olympians rout Braves
Megan Kennedy and Kaylee Smith combined on a four-hitter to lead Columbus East to a 13-2, five-inning win against Indian Creek.
Kenzie Foster went 3 for 3, and Mackenzie Sigman went 3 for 4 for the Olympians (7-17). Kerigan Greathouse and Kaitlin Brummett each went 2 for 2, and Julia Sitterding went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple.
Jets clinch title share
MORRISTOWN — Hauser clinched at least a share of the Mid-Hoosier Conference title with a 17-0, five-inning win at Morristown.
Paige McDaniel and Kaydence Gates combined on a one-hitter for the Jets (20-3, 8-1).
Hannah Taylor went 4 for 4 with two doubles, Morgan Bottoms went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, Kylie Mack and Stephanie Meek each went 2 for 2, Reagan Johnson went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs and Hannah Johnson went 2 for 4.
Lancers edge Cougars
EDINBURGH — Trinity Lutheran led 5-2 after five innings, but Edinburgh rallied for a 6-5 victory.
Gracie Crawhorn went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double and two RBIs for the Lancers (11-9). Mackenzie Whetstine went 2 for 3, and MacKenzie Bieker had a three-run homer and threw a three-hitter.
Genesis Munoz and Bailey Reynolds each had a home run and two RBIs for the Cougars.
Clovers blank Eagles
NASHVILLE — Brown County trailed only 1-0 after two innings, but Cloverdale pulled away for a 13-0, five-inning Western Indiana Conference win.
Abigail Watson took the loss for the Eagles (0-13, 0-9).
BASEBALL
Olympians down Trojans
ST. LEON — Columbus East led only 1-0 after five innings, but a six-run sixth allowed it to pull away for a 9-2 win at East Central.
Ben Major and Parker Harrison each had two RBIs for the Olympians (10-10-1). Ethan Ianni, Harry Major and Will Boyer combined on a five-hitter.
Jets nip Yellow Jackets
MORRISTOWN — Hauser pushed across a run in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie and claim a 3-2 MHC victory at Morristown.
Kobe Meahl had two RBIs for the Jets (16-9, 10-1). Koby Johnson and Alex Pattingill combined on a three-hitter.
Panthers shut out Stars
BEDFORD — Jacob Vogel threw a four-hit shutout to lead Jennings County to a 1-0 win at Bedford North Lawrence.
Carson McNulty went 2 for 3 for the Panthers (12-8).
BOYS GOLF
North outscores Owls
SEYMOUR — Jack Schiavello won medalist honors with a 39 to lead No. 9 Columbus North to a 162-179 win against Seymour at Shadowood.
Luke Schneider, Jacob Niedbalski and Tyler Wilks all shot 41 for the Bull Dogs. Aditya Banerjee, Damon Gregory and John Ferguson all shot 44; while Willy Davis carded a 45, Osian Guess added a 46 and Alex Clark had a 55.
East topples New Albany
FLOYDS KNOBS — Kody Reynolds won medalist honors with a 41 to lead Columbus East to a 176-184 win against New Albany.
Cole Schaefer and Pierce Arnholt each shot 43 for the Olympians. Jamaal Starks carded a 49, J.T. Kuhlman added a 53, Spencer Erfmeier shot 55, Logan Stevenson had a 59 and Casey Bartholomew finished with a 60.
Lancers fall to Artesians
EDINBURGH — Max Blandford win medalist honors with a 36, but Edinburgh fell to Martinsville 191-202.
Mason Calhoun carded a 51 for the Lancers. Trevor Moon added a 56, Keegan Smith shot 59 and Devyn Milburn had a 69.

Tigers top Jets
HOPE — Hauser closed the regular season with a 3-2 loss to undefeated Triton Central.
Bella Kilps beat Leila Chougule 6-4, 7-6 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (8-7). Aunaka Wasil and Emily Harker topped Kelsey McGuire and Ainsley Denton 7-5, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Hauser’s Andie Clark fell to Brooklyn Schiffli 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Kaitlynn Everroad lost to Julia Sanders 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Charlie Clark and Gabby Johns fell to Alyssa Wheatley and Emma Hutchinson 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
