Heritage Fund — the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County, announces Community Fund grants

Heritage Fund — The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County recently awarded $60,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations from the Community Fund as part of its second-quarter grants cycle.

Grant recipients include:

• Columbus Area Arts Council – $25,000 to support the Sixth Street Arts Alley project

• Love Chapel – $22,000 to support strategic organizational planning

• Servants at Work – $9,000 to support building ramps for low-income, disabled Bartholomew County residents

• Family School Partners – $4,000 to support strategic organizational planning

Heritage Fund, through generous support of the community, annual distributes about $600,000 to $700,000 in grants to local nonprofits from the unrestricted Community Fund.

Community Fund grants help Heritage Fund to meet emerging needs in Bartholomew County in the areas of youth development, substance abuse, neighborhood revitalization, innovation and creativity and Welcoming Community.
