Panther qualifes for state
BLOOMINGTON — Jennings County senior Zane Ortlieb finished second in the discus with a throw of 148 feet, 6 inches, in Thursday’s Bloomington North Regional to advance to the Boys Track and Field State Finals, which will be on Friday at Ben Davis.
Ortlieb also finished fifth in the shot put (47-10). The Panthers’ Gavin Hendrix placed fourth in the 800 meters (2 minutes, 2.19 seconds).
