SILVERHILL, Ala.
Jeffery Jay Tolbert, 23, of Silverhill, Alabama, formerly of Columbus, passed from this life Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at his home.
Jeffery was born September 24, 1997, in Columbus, the son of Johnathon Eugene and Jana Marie Pelley Tolbert.
He was involved in construction and enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, John and Debbie Tolbert of Columbus; mother and step-father, Jana M. and Rudy Pena of Alabama; fianc?, Angelica Hernandez of Alabama; infant daughter, Zendaya Judith Tolbert of Alabama; brothers, Johnathon E. Tolbert II of Columbus and Jacob (Emily) Tolbert of Butlerville; sisters, Jayni (Jon) Krebs of Alabama and Jennifer (Darren Baker) Tolbert of North Vernon; grandparents, Hollie and Pam Tolbert of Columbus, Karen and Ronnie Merriman of Columbus and Jay Pelley of Alabama and his dog Dougie.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judy Downs and a cousin, Chyenne Wray.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Ed Boston officiating.
Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.
