Passenger arrested on drug-related charges after traffic stop

A traffic stop for an expired license plate led to an arrest of a Greensburg woman on multiple drug-related charges.

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies said Deputy Dylan Prather stopped a vehicle with the expired plates at 6:28 p.m. Tuesday.

During the stop, a passenger, after giving deputies false information, was determined to be Nicole Schlapp, 42, of 1113 S. County Road 850W, Greensburg. Schlapp was found to have multiple out-of-county warrants, drug-related paraphernalia and a .9 mm handgun, deputies said.

Schlapp was taken to the Bartholomew Jail on several preliminary charges including:

False informing

Three out-of-county warrants

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of marijuana

Possession of paraphernalia

Possession of weapon

She is being held without bond in the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
