COLUMBUS
Letha K. “Kay” Ash, 73 of Columbus, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2021 in Columbus. She was born on July 5, 1948 in Greensburg, IN to the late George and Fairline (Cline) Rose. Kay married Cecil Ray Ash on April 19, 1931 and he preceded her in death on November 9, 1984.
In her younger years she worked as a CNA and then retired from PMG in Columbus. She was a member of Lowell Baptist Church. Kay was an avid ice cream eater. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and puzzles in her spare time.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Kimberly “Kim” (Ash) Reed of Columbus; half sons, Gary Ash of Cambridge City and Dennis (Melissa) Ash of Washington State. She will also be missed by her 2 fur babies, Lucy and Chuck.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Violet Philley, Naomi Wilson, Aline Poole, Betty Rose, Don Rose, Earl Rose, and Homer Rose.
Services will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Moster Mortuary, 334 North Main Street, Rushville, IN 46173, with Pastor Ron Hampton presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the mortuary. Burial will be held in Orange North Cemetery.
