Judith Kay “Judy” Tharp, 63, of Columbus, passed away at 8:28 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Judy was born May 21, 1958, in Greensburg, Indiana, the daughter of Ronald L. Hupp and Delores J. Wagers. On July 1, 1995, she married John P. Tharp.
Painting and wood working were among Judy’s favorite things to do. Judy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loving caregiver. Her family was very important to her and she was extremely proud of all of her children.
Survivors include her husband, John; children, Stacey (Naiot) Cacho of Columbus, Jamie (Ronald) Baird, Jr. of Scottsburg, Jonathan West, Terry Walter Winchester, Johnny Winchester, all of Columbus, Sunsera Winchester, also of Scottsburg, Michael Dale Winchester, also of Columbus; grandchildren, Jordan West, Caleb Fairbrother, Ian Cacho, Savannah Baird, Brayana Cacho, Hayden Alcorn, Addison West, Dorothy Donaldson, Ronald Baird III; six great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter; brothers, Ronald Dale Hupp, Rick Hupp, Randy Hupp; sisters, Brenda (Robert) Louden, Sherry Davis; father, Ronald L. Hupp; mother, Delores J. Wagers; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Goldie Smith.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Adam Carrigan officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery.
