Bull Dogs rout Cardinals

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North jumped out to a 14-1 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 55-21 Conference Indiana win Tuesday at Southport.

The Bull Dogs (2-2, 1-0) led 25-5 at halftime and 45-14 after three quarters.

Lauren Barker led North with 13 points. Kylah Lawson scored nine, while Andrea Justis had eight and Kayla Jones added seven.

Lancers fall to Trojans

GREENWOOD — Center Grove picked up a 78-16 win against Edinburgh in the opening round of the Johnson County Tournament.

The Lancers fell to 2-3.

Raiders edge Cougars

GREENSBURG — South Decatur led 18-11 at halftime and 30-29 after three quarters, but South Ripley rallied for a 40-27 victory.

Loryn Pate led the Cougars (1-4) with 16 points. Makayla Somers added eight.

East girls take second

NEW ALBANY — The Columbus East girls finished second in the New Albany Relays. Floyd Central won with 92 points to 64 for the Olympians.

Hannah Dean, Nicole Fernendez, Grace Hale and Ali Trueblood finished second in the 100-yard freestyle relay in 1 minute 1.48 seconds, and Gabbie Meier and Dyana Foster took second in the diving competition with 171.35 points. Claire Brooks, Dean, Kerigan Greathouse, and Halle Herbert were second in the 250 freestyle crescendo relay (2:36.09), and Greathouse, Josie Havenaar, Karissa Miller and Ellie Proffitt finished second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:47.19).
