BOYS BASKETBALL
Bull Dogs fall twice
Columbus North fell to Crown Point 63-56 in the first round of the Noblesville Tournament. Sam King finished with 26 points and Cooper Horn added 20 for the Bull Dogs (6-5).
In the consolation game, the Bull Dogs fell in overtime 62-61 to Lawrence Central. Horn finished with 28 points and King added 18.
Jets split games
Hauser dropped its opening round game in the Edinburgh Tournament to Indianapolis Lutheran 46-25. Koby Johnson led the Jets with 10 points.
Hauser bounced back in the consolation game to defeat South Putnam 67-64. Bryce Bates finished with 22 points, Johnson had 19 and Taeshaun Tungate added 13 for the Jets (5-5).
Lancers in finals
Edinburgh only led 28-22 at halftime before pulling away in the second half for a 68-48 victory over Lanesville in the opening round of its own tournament. Caleb Dewey led the Lancers with 25 points.
In the semifinal, Edinburgh defeated North White 57-47 to advance to today’s championship game at 8 p.m. Travis Jones led the Lancers (9-0) with 18 points.
Cougars lose in semis
South Decatur rolled past South Putnam 83-50 in the opening round of the Edinburgh Tournament. Hunter Johnson finished with 33 points for the Cougars.
In the semifinal round, South Decatur fell to Indianapolis Lutheran 86-74. Johnson had 41 points for the Cougars (5-6).
GYMNASTICS
East falls to Owls
Columbus East lost a close one to Seymour in its season opener 99.4-98.95.
Cami Warren finished first in the all-around competition with a score of 33.90 for the Olympians. Winter Shaver was third (31.80), and Reagan Mount was fourth (31.75) in the all-around. Warren was first on the vault (8.8), on bars (8.1) and on the beam (8.4).
