COLUMBUS
Bobby “Grumpy” Britt, 62, of Columbus, passed from this life at 6:05 a.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022, at his home.
Mr. Britt was born December 23, 1959, in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Willie and Hattie Britt.
He married Trina B. Hamlin September 13, 2007.
Grumpy was a member of Faith Ministries.
He was formerly employed with Faurecia and volunteered at the Love Chapel.
Survivors include his wife; children, LaToya Conyers-Lew of Virginia, Bobby (Julie) Hamlin of Lexington, ShaCori Conyers of Virginia and Brandy Hamlin of Colorado; grandchildren, Azaria Conyers, Hannah Lew, Quentin Conyers, Samuel Hamlin and Bentley Hamlin;
siblings, Ella “Sally” (Henery) Claude, Ruth “Tina” (Larry) Conyers, Edward (Rhonda) Britt, Vernon (Gloria) Britt, Gloria Smith, Thomas (LaToya) Britt, Anglea (JC) Prescott and Mateaka Baxter all of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Faith Ministries with Pastor’s Jarvis Cooper and Cassandra Nicholson officiating.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at the church.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
