Violet A. Priest, 93, of Columbus passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at her home.
Violet was born in Martinsville, Indiana October 5, 1928, the daughter of William and Rachel Culvert Lehr. She married Bruce Priest February 7, 1955 in Martinsville; he preceded her in death in March 1995.
She loved spending time with her family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, working in her flower garden, garage sales and trips to Gatlinburg.
She is survived by children, Penny (Terry) Hagemier of Hope, Bruce (Lisa) Priest of Columbus, Mitzi (Tony) Gay of Columbus, Kelly (Dennis) Foster of Mooresville and Bonnie Cowan of Seymour; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter, Mickey Langley; 2 sisters.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
