Columbus police officers arrested a local woman on several charges after she reportedly crashed a vehicle on Saturday evening. At approximately 8:35 p.m., CPD officers attempted to stop a speeding car on 10th Street, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

A short time later, the driver of the vehicle, Angel M. Tucker, 44, of 1120 Seventh St.-1, crashed into a stop sign and quickly exited her vehicle and began walking away. The officers made contact with Tucker and determined that she did not have a valid driver’s license, Harris said.

The officers also recovered a syringe containing a liquid suspected to be fentanyl, and additional drug paraphernalia, Harris said. Tucker was placed under arrest and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

Possession of a narcotic drug

Possession of a legend drug injection device

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Leaving the scene of an accident

Driving while suspended with a prior conviction

Tucker was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond, jail officials said.
