Lykins won his first two matches by pin and won the 120-pound final by injury default to help lead the Olympians to the Jeffersonville Regional title.
His performance last week: “I was able to go out on the mat and score points and get my hand raised at the end.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I usually just try to get my head in the right space and my mental game and just think about what I’m about to do and then go out and execute it.”

Lauren Barker
Barker scored 21 points, including 18 in the first half, to lead the Bull Dogs in a 41-38 loss to East Central in the first round of the Bloomington North Sectional.
Her performance last week: “Obviously, I wanted to win, but during sectional, I want to give it my all, and I felt like I left it all out there, so I was happy with it.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I normally listen to music on the busride there, and I always say a prayer right before I play.”
