COLUMBUS
Margaret “Peggy” Carothers, 82, of Columbus, passed from this life at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Peggy was born September 28, 1939, in Columbus, the daughter of Charles William and Kathleen L. Fletcher Hiatt.
She married John R. Percifield May 28, 1961, he preceded her in death July 25, 2007.
She later married Max E. Carothers June 12, 2009, he preceded her in death April 22, 2014.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Chuck) Crussel of Hope and Christine (John) Oswald of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Megan Walters, Levi Walters and Sarah (Zach) Schoettmer and great-grandchildren, Alexis Miller and Wyatt Schoettmer.
In keeping with the families wishes, cremation will take place.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
