NORTH VERNON — Jennings County opened its softball season Saturday with a 9-2 loss to Portage.
Alexis Carson had a two-run double in the first to plate the Panthers’ only runs. Grace George and Ashley Meade also had doubles for Jennings, which travels to Hauser on Monday.
