Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. has announced 20 nominees for its 2021-22 Teacher of the Year Award.
“We believe BCSC has the best teachers around!” said school officials. “One of the ways we recognize them for their efforts is by working with you to nominate teachers of the year to represent each school within our district.”
The nominees are as follows:

McDowell — Donmichael Thompson, Restart

Nominees have the opportunity to apply for the district award or opt out.
The district award winner is able to apply for the Indiana Teacher of the Year Award. According to the Indiana Department of Education, the winner at the state level represents Indiana’s teachers through the Council of Chief State School Officers’ National Teacher of the Year program.
BCSC’s 2021 Teacher of the Year, Columbus North science teacher Stacy Doub, was honored at a school board meeting in August. Doub is the second teacher to receive the award since its inception in 2020.
