COLUMBUS
Brad V. Wedan, 39, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 10:18 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at his place of business, Wedan Street &Performance in Columbus.
Brad entered life September 14, 1982, in Columbus, the loving son of Kevin K. and Sharon M. Lovins Wedan. On November 13, 2021, Brad married Amanda J. Fortier; she survives.
Brad was a 2000 graduate of Columbus East High School where he participated in the C4 Automotive Program and he attended Lincoln Technical Institute. Brad was the owner and operator of Wedan Street &Performance in Columbus. Brad had a passion for drag racing, building cars, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He and Amanda always enjoyed weekend road trips on their Harley. Brad enjoyed his membership in A.B.A.T.E. and H.O.G. Brad attended the Breaking Bread Apostolic Church in Whiteland and he had been a panel judge for senior projects at Columbus East High School.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Amanda; parents, Kevin and Sharon Wedan of Columbus; stepchildren, Katelynn (Duane) Brummett of Bloomington, Caleb (Tia) Casada of Indianapolis and Cameron Casada of Columbus; granddaughters, Amani and Alana Brummett; brothers, Brian (Amanda) Wedan of Columbus and Karl (Heather) Wedan of Columbus; sister, Regina (Aaron) Jessie of Morgantown; niece, Kyra Jessie of Morgantown; and nephews, Austin and Tyler Wedan of Columbus.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vern and Delores Wedan and Wilbert and Mary Lovins and his cat, Cheeseburger.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Minister Carl Biddle will officiate. A live stream of the funeral service can be seen at barkesweaverglick.com.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Brad will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
