Ann Marie Fields

SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Ann Marie Fields age 40 of Seymour passed away on July 22, 2022. Ann’s biggest accomplishment in life was the devotion she had to her husband and children. Ann was a kind, gentle and compassionate person. Ann loved to attend family gatherings, worked hard, and carried herself in a polite and respectable manner. She always helped individuals particularly those with disabilities, she enjoyed teaching children, helping the elderly and those with living difficulties. She was an artist at heart, as evidenced by her drawings, paintings, refurbished furniture and unique cake designs that everyone enjoyed. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking with her husband and children. Ann loved traveling with her family to Panama City Beach, FL each spring break.

Ann was a resident of Seymour Indiana. On March 3, 2006, Ann married the love of her life, Jonathan Chance Fields, who survives. She is also survived by son Jonathan (Morgan), daughters Anastaesia and Lorelei, stepdaughter Patricia and a step granddaughter Morticia.

Ann was born on October 16, 1981 to parents Richard and Mary Kidwell, who survive. She has three siblings, Melinda Trager, Frances (Paul) Skulas, and Christopher (Emma) Kidwell who survive. She was a loving Aunt to Stephen Trager, Katherine Trager, Elizabeth Trager, Abigail Trager, Ella Kidwell, Corbin Kidwell, baby to be Kidwell, Remy Skulas, Mabel Skulas, Summera Baraja, Nicholas Hounshel, Shelby Richardson, Haley Carmer, Linzy Carmer, and Jaylen Carmer. Ann was loved and will be missed by all her family and extended family.

She was preceeded in death by her grandparents, Rudolph and Frances Schlatterer and James and Elizabeth Kidwell.

Ann graduated from Seymour High School in 2000. She then worked for the State of Indiana and graduated from Western Governors University with a bachelor’s degree. She was nominated and received the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) award. This is a prestigious award recommended only by a college. Ann was employed by the Seymour Community School System. Her love of teaching was evident in every activity and project her students completed. Ann was also an avid swimmer and was an Assistant Swim coach for the Seymour Swimming program. At the time of her death, Ann was working on an IUPUC Master’s degree.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut St., Seymour, Indiana.
