COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Peiwei Wang, 65, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2022. Peiwei was born in Shanghai, China where he met his wife, Han Shen, of 38 years. He received his master’s in industrial engineering at the University of Missouri.
Peiwei grew up in hardship in China during the Cultural Revolution and relocated to the United States in pursuit of a better future for his wife and kids. He lived in Columbus for twenty-eight years teaching at Ivy Tech, working for Cummins and founding Wang Consulting.
Peiwei was a proud homeowner who took on many of his own home and car repairs. He was also an avid traveler, taking his family on memorable trips to Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
He is survived by his wife, Han; their children, Yang Wang and Andrew Wang; and his granddaughter Hannah Isanuk.
Visitation will be held on Friday October 7th at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
