COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Brenda L. Martin, 72, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, October 16, 2022, at her home.
Brenda was born in Columbus, November 25, 1949, the loving daughter of Roy William and Betty L. Douglass Behrman. On January 11, 1971, Brenda married Billy J. Martin; he survives.
Brenda was a member of the 1968 graduating class of Columbus High School. She then started her career as an administrative assistant with Cummins Engine Company retiring after more than 30 years of service.
Brenda was a member of the Columbus Assembly No. 36, Order of Rainbow for Girls and served as a Worthy Advisor. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Greensburg and Columbus Emmaus communities.
Brenda had a passion for crocheting, sewing and traveling.
Surviving to cherish Brenda’s memory are her husband of 51 years, Billy; children, Joe Colin (Kyla) Martin of Columbus, Nathan (Sarah) Martin of Indianapolis, Angela Martin of Columbus, Rhonda (Paul) Miller of San Antonio, Texas, and Ross (Stephanie) Larrison of Kyle, Texas; brother, William K. (Cheryl) Behrman of Gainesville, Florida; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Betty Behrman and her sister, Barb Snyder.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; her brother, William K. Behrman will officiate. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Entombment will be at the Garland Brook Mausoleum.
