This Saturday, Oct. 29 the 3rd annual Celebrate Nala 5K will be held at Noblitt Park at 9 a.m. Two CSA high school seniors, Holden Conner and Alexis Yanez Cisneros will be leading this event as their senior project to raise funds to help the Nala Fund. The Bartholomew County Humane Society and Columbus Animal Care Services will be onsite from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. to offer free dog microchipping. Dogs are welcome to attend and walk/run the 5K.

The Nala Fund was established in November 2020 through the Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County in memory of the AEI / May family dog to provide medical care for dogs in need. Many donors and sponsors have supported the fund, enabling the Nala Fund to provide support for over 50 dogs through 16 different veterinary clinics in the past two years!
