SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Tyler Duncan carded an opening-round 1-over-par 72 Thursday in the WM Phoenix Open and was tied for 58th when play was suspended because of darkness.
Starting on the back nine, the Columbus North graduate shot 1-over 37 on his first nine and even-par 35 on the front at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course. He had three birdies, two bogeys and a double-bogey.
About half the field had finished their rounds. Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin were the leaders at 5-under 66.
