It will be Richards playing Southside in the boys final and Richards facing Smith in the girls final on the Elementary Basketball League’s SOUPer Saturday at Columbus East.
In Wednesday’s boys semifinals, Richards beat Mt. Healthy 34-20, and Southside topped CSA-Lincoln 41-28. In the girls semifinals, Richards beat Rockcreek 34-28, and Smith topped CSA-Lincoln 40-25.
The boys final will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, followed by the girls final at 5 p.m. Cheer day competition begins at 11:30 a.m., also at East.
Tickets are $2 for students, $3 for adults and $7 for a family pass. This year’s event is called “SOUPer Saturday” because a canned food drive is being held to benefit Love Chapel.
