Jets win title share

MORRISTOWN — Hauser won a share of the Mid-Hoosier Conference title, thanks to a 10-4 win at Morristown, coupled with a South Decatur loss to North Decatur on Tuesday.

Owen McIntyre threw a five-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the Jets (13-11-1, 10-2). Karson Stuckey went 2 for 3 with a double.

Chargers nip Cougars

GREENSBURG — South Decatur endured a 4-3 loss at North Decatur to finish in a tie with Hauser for the MHC title.

Jensen McDonald went 2 for 3, and Avery Seegers went 2 for 4 for the Cougars (14-6, 10-2).

Trojans top East

ST. LEON — Columbus East came away with a 7-1 loss at East Central.

Evan Balzer had a double for the Olympians (4-19), who managed five hits.

Trinity tops GCA

GREENWOOD — Trinity Lutheran scored five times in the second inning and held on for a 5-2 win at Greenwood Christian Academy.

Drake Goodpaster had two hits, and Nathan Voelker had two RBIs for the Cougars (12-13).

Jets perfect in MHC

MORRISTOWN — Hauser wrapped up an unbeaten Mid-Hoosier Conference season with a 19-7, five-inning win at Morristown.

Maley Jordan went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs; Paige McDaniel went 2 for 2 with two RBIs; Kylie Mack went 2 for 2 with a double; Hannah Taylor went 2 for 3 with a double, a home run and four RBIs and Lucie Asher went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs for the Jets (19-6, 12-0). McDaniel and Reagan Mack combined on a six-hitter.

East overcomes Braves

Indian Creek led 7-3 after three innings, but Columbus East rallied for a 10-7 victory.

Kenzie Foster went 2 for 3 with two home runs and four RBIs for the Olympians (14-11). Savanna Sullivan had a home run and two RBIs, and Kaylee Cole had a double and two RBIs.

GREENSBURG — South Decatur dropped a 10-0, five-inning MHC decision at North Decatur.

Three different players had a single for the Cougars (4-18, 3-9).

Trinity tops CAI

SEYMOUR — Bailey Tabeling went 4 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs, and Grace Lance went 2 for 3 with a triple and threw a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead Trinity Lutheran to a 12-0, five-inning win against Christian Academy of Indiana.

Madison Keith had a home run and two RBIs for the Cougars (13-10).

BOYS GOLF

Bull Dogs down Owls

Brady Schneider won medalist honors with a 35 to lead No. 16 Columbus North to a 152-164 win against Seymour at Harrison Lake Country Club.

Tyler Wilks carded a 36 for the Bull Dogs. Willy Davis added a 38, Alex Clark had a 42 and John Merritt and Jack Schiavello each shot 43.

East rolls to victory

Carter Greene won medalist honors with a 35 to lead Columbus East to a 154-165 win against New Albany at Otter Creek.

Pierce Arnholt carded a 38 for the Olympians. Spencer Erfmeier added a 40, Ben Luedeke shot 41, Jamall Starks had a 47 and Keaton Stephenson finished with a 48.

Panthers win quad

SEYMOUR — Jennings County won a quad match at Shadowood. The Panthers scored a 176 to 191 for Orleans and 218 for Trinity Lutheran. Medora did not have enough golfers to score as a team.

Davey Shaw won medalist honors with a 40 to lead Jennings. Jake Grider added a 41, and Jack George had a 46.

GIRLS TENNIS

Jets edge Tigers

HOPE — Hauser pulled out a three-set win at No. 1 singles to wrap up the regular season with a 3-2 win against Triton Central.

Bella Kilps beat Mary Rose Felling 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, Charlie Clark topped Allison Howley 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Lydia Jordan defeated Courtney Washburn 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (9-5).

Hauser’s Mattie Foster and Addyson Barriger fell to Audrey Canter and Lauren Grant 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Abby Blair and Kayden Miller lost to Olivia Reedy and Kaylynn Washburn 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
