COLUMBUS, IN.
Arthur Lew Purtlebaugh, 78 of Columbus, IN passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born November 25, 1944 in Columbus, IN to Reverend Homer and Eliza Elizabeth (Partlow) Purtlebaugh. He married Brenda D. (Smith) Purtlebaugh on June 23, 1968 at Bethel Baptist Church in Columbus, IN; she preceded him in death on July 23, 2013.
We love you Daddy, miss you, and will see you in Heaven someday. We would love to have you with us, but we know that we will see you again. You will always be with us. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we would walk right up to Heaven, and bring you home again.

Survivors include his sons James Arthur “Jimmy” Purtlebaugh of Columbus, IN and Kevin L. Purtlebaugh, a grandson Devin Purtlebaugh, a brother Ronnie Purtlebaugh of Columbus, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Ronnie Purtlebaugh and a sister Katherine Rutan.
Pastor Tim Streeval will conduct a service on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 12 Noon at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ 488 Center Street in Columbus, IN. Friends may call Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 4PM until 8PM at the church and Friday from 11AM until service time at the church. Burial will follow the service at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Columbus, IN.
