Raymond “Ray” Edward England, age 75, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 at his home on Pearl street with his wife and children nearby. Ray was born August 13, 1948, the son of Rex and Leora Belle (Poore) England.
Ray had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. He had an upbeat personality and neverneglected to make those around him laugh. He was an avid car enthusiast. He loved cars, especially his Corvette.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Fields officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Ray is survived by his wife, Joyce, whom he married on May 17, 1967; daughter, Angee (Trent) Gentry and a son Jay (Rachel) England. Ray was the grandfather to 11 beloved grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chris and 6 brothers and sisters.
