HANOVER — Jennings County’s boys and girls swept Saturday’s Duke Meyer Classic Cross Country Invitational at Hanover College.
The Panther boys scored 44 points to 54 for runner-up Silver Creek. The Jennings girls scored 53 points to 66 for Silver Creek.
Krayden Young won the boys race in 16 minutes, 2.8 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Aaron Lewis finished sixth in 17:13.1, while Lain Ernstes was 10th (17:37.1), Dawson Leak 13th (17:43.7) and Brock Maschino 19th (17:55.2).
Avery Willhite led the Panther girls with a fifth-place finish in 22:07.7. Haley Vogel took eighth in 22:29.8, while Alana Watts was 12th (22:46.4), Addie Otte 15th (23:05.9) and Molly Wathen 20th (23:26.1).
