NORTH VERNON — The license branch in North Vernon will be closed for a few days for remodeling beginning Friday, the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles announced, noting hours for many other BMV branches have changed.
The North Vernon branch, located at 612 Buckeye St., will be closed from Friday through Tuesday and will reopen Wednesday, according to the BMV. When it reopens, the branch’s hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The remodeled branch will house a self-service BMV Connect kiosk and four additional customer service stations to better serve customers, the bureau said.
Customers who need service during the remodel are encouraged to complete transactions online at myBMV.com, visit a BMV Connect kiosk, or the nearby Seymour or Versailles branches.
Additionally, many BMV branches have new hours. For a list by location with new operating hours, visit in.gov/bmv/branch-locations-and-hours/bmv-branch-map/new-branch-hours/. According to the BMV, many common transactions can be completed at a BMV Connect kiosk, most of which are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
