KOKOMO — IU Columbus came close in the third set Tuesday, but came away with a 25-9, 25-18, 26-24 River States Conference loss at IU Kokomo.
Brown County graduate Abigail Watson pounded nine kills, Addison Lemon recorded 21 assists, Cora Baker and Mackenzie Broman each had one block assist, Alyvia Luce notched 12 digs and Oliva Embry served two aces to lead the Crimson Pride (5-10, 2-9).
Columbus North graduate Grace Barkes added three kills for IUC, which hosts Shawnee State on Friday and Alice Lloyd (Ky.) on Saturday.
