Heather Rae Palmer, 39, of Columbus, passed away on October 11, 2023, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Heather was born April 23, 1984 in Columbus, the daughter of Jerry Rae and Janet Bensheimer Palmer.
Heather enjoyed spending her free time reading. She was very proud of all four of her children, and spending time with them was one of her greatest joys. She loved the color pink, and was an excellent swimmer. She was a very loving person to those around her and will be missed by many.
Heather is survived by her children Brooke Davis of Seymour, Brandon Peppers of Greensburg, as well as Nathan and Kyle Ashby both of Columbus; her husband William Christopher Ricks of Columbus; her mother Janet Bensheimer Acton of Columbus; siblings Jason Bensheimer, Richard Palmer, Shawn Palmer Gilpin, John Palmer, Jerry J. Palmer, Devin Alderson, Buffy Cooney, Ashley Palmer, and Amber Palmer; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Ray Palmer.
The funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Derek Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of services Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
