Loneta R. Redford

COLUMBUS, INDIANA

Loneta Rae Redford, 75, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her home.

Mrs. Redford was born in Columbus, February 12, 1948, the loving daughter of Alonzo and Margaret Barnes Warner. She was the wife of Jerry Lee Redford, to whom she was married to for 40 years, from April 1976 until his death June 13, 2016.

Mrs. Redford was a registered nurse for nearly 50 years; she retired from Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Mrs. Redford will be remembered as someone who loved to cook and bake and she cherished the time she spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Alissa (Chad) Smith of Columbus and Jonna (Mike) Hurley of Brownstown; stepsons, Leelynn (Aliesa) Tolen of Michigan and Travis (Missy) Redford of South Carolina; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; nephew, Adam (Wendy) Warner of Columbus; niece; Nichole Kronmiller of Columbus.

Mrs. Redford was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Margaret Warner; her husband, Jerry Redford; son, Ty Cobb; brother, Tim Warner; and a granddaughter, Mary Smith.

A Columbus Regional Health Nursing Honor Guard memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. The memorial service will livestream at barkesweaverglick.com.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 3 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
