Eureka College scored in the second minute, but IU Columbus came back with three goals to claim a 3-1 victory on Thursday.
Columbus East graduate Alejandro Saldivar scored the first two goals for the Crimson Pride (8-7-1). Hermon Rendon, who assisted on the second goal, scored IUC’s final goal.
The Crimson Pride outshot Eureka 23-14. Zach Mills played the first half in goal and recorded five saves, and Jacob Kasarda did not face a shot in the second half.
Meanwhile, the IUC women (2-11, 1-8) dropped a 6-0 River States Conference decision to IU Kokomo. IUK outshot the Crimson Pride 48-5, with Ana Jackson posting 21 saves.
Both the IUC men and women wrap up the regular season Saturday at Point Park in Pittsburgh.
