CARMEL AND FORMERLY OF COLUMBUS
Mary Lou Clipp, 81, of Carmel and formerly of Columbus passed from this life on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 7:10 p.m. at her daughter’s home.
Mary was born on December 21, 1942, in Campbellsburg, Indiana, the daughter of Dell and Garnet Neely Shuck. On July 6, 1963, she married Earl F. Clipp.
Mrs. Clipp was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Above all she loved attending her grandson’s activities and was an avid I.U. and Butler basketball fan.
Survivors include her daughters, Laura Lee (Craig) Overway of Bloomington and Stacy (Chris) Mulloy of Carmel; grandsons, Kyle (Erin) Overway, Kaleb (fianc?’ Lily Johnson) Overway, John-Michael Mulloy, Mitchell Mulloy; great grandson, Harrison Overway and a great granddaughter due in March; and siblings, Connie (Don) McKnight, Rick Shuck, Betty Boston, and Jenny Wildman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl F. Clipp on December 7, 2023; and her sister, Rita Mousty.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Luke Maggard officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1:00 -4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. till time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, Indiana.
In memory of Mrs. Clipp memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association.
