Gray pitches out of jam in Reds’ victory

Peyton Gray

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — In a game otherwise dominated by the offenses, Peyton Gray threw water on the fire.

The Columbus East graduate came on for the Cincinnati Reds with the bases loaded and nobody out in the seventh inning in a Spring Training game against the San Francisco Giants. He induced a double play before ending the inning — and his outing — with a strikeout.

The Reds went on to post a 19-11 victory.

Gray has a 3.00 ERA with one save in three innings in three appearances this spring.
