The Columbus Police Department welcomed back Officer Maren McCrary after she was sworn in Tuesday by Columbus Mayor Mary Ferdon at City Hall.
McCrary served as an officer at CPD for almost seven years as a patrol officer, detective and polygraph examiner with the Criminal Investigations Division. After leaving CPD, McCrary was employed as a forensic interviewer at a child advocacy center.
After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, McCrary worked as a police officer for the Muncie Police Department for several years before joining CPD.
