2014

New York architect and author Theodore Prudon spoke at the Indiana University Center for Art + Design about preserving architecture in Columbus. Prudon led a national organization dedicated to the documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods in the Modern architecture movement.

1999

Parkside Elementary School’s Odyssey of the Mind team earned the chance to compete at the world finals at the University of Tennessee. The team was the fourth Parkside team in five years to advance to the world contest.

1973

A rock inscribed with “D. Boon, 1784” found in Columbus was authentic according to Louisville historical expert Robert McDowell, but he stated that it wasn’t the Daniel Boone whose name appeared on the small piece of sandstone.
