Ross Abrahm Adair, 31, of Columbus, died May 26, 2024. Ross was born on September 3, 1992, in Columbus, Indiana to Andy J. Adair and Ayrika (Turpen) Adair.

Ross was on the Exploration Field Team for Terracon Consultants Inc. He served in the United States Army, stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia, where he served as a Tanker in the 2nd Battalion – 69th Armor Regiment in the 3 rd Infantry Division and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He did a rotation in Europe, where he got stuck for 1 year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was also a member of the U.S. Army Honor Guard.

Among Ross’ greatest joys was spending time with his partner, Jennifer Luttrell her daughter Sophie, and their dog Roman, all whom survive him.

Also surviving are his parents, Andy (Roxanne) Adair, and Ayrika (Paul) Williams. Brother, Andrew (Katie) Adair, and niece, Winifred Faye, who thought he hung the moon and stars.

Paternal grandparents, Gene and Faye Adair of Columbus, Debbie Williams, and Besi (Dave) Ryan.

Aunts, Anissa Adair, Angela (Phil) Thompson, Michelle (David) Wade. Uncles, Richard Adair, Curt (Cathy) Ross, Anthony (Wendy) Turpen, Russell (Katie) Williams, David (Carolina) Stevens.

Cousins, Matthew, Melissae, Emily, Samuel, Lilly, Lacey, Dylan, Amie, Luke, Kristy, Melissa, Leslie, Haley, Levi, Timothy, Elijah, Angel, Zelda, Nehemiah, O’Shea, Cooper, Mason, Tiffanie, and a special cousin, Jake Baker.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry Turpen, Malinda Godsey Ross, and Robert H Ross, and a cousin, Christina Beth Ross.

The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1 , 2024, at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Chaplain Susann Estle officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Calling will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Following the graveside, a dinner hosted by the Owens family will be provided at 10430 W. County Rd. 850 South Hartsville, IN.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, Tunnels to Towers, or any charity that benefits the Veterans of this great United States.
