COLUMBUS
Gary Wayne Chafin, 68, of Columbus, passed from this life on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 12:07 a.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Gary was born on September 13, 1955, in Columbus, the son of Wayne D. and Helen O. McDonald’s Chafin.
Gary worked in the lawn care industry with All In the Family Lawn Care and a previous member of ABATE. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Survivors include his sons, Elza (Coryn Wilson) Chafin of Atlanta, Georgia and Wesley Chafin of Columbus; siblings, Tina (William) Napier, William (Tonya) Moore, Michael Moore; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Myrna Moore.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.
In keeping with Mr. Chafin’s wishes cremation took place and a celebration of life gathering was held at 2 p.m. till dusk on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Donner Park Shelter Northwest Blue Section.
