Mike Reed, principal of Columbus Signature Academy New Tech High School, was nominated for the Susan Schilling Award. The award was presented to a person who modeled tenacity and community involvement to support learning for students and staff.
1999
Columbus East High School finished second in a three-way boys golf meet that served as a warmup for the Greensburg Sectional. The host Pirates won with a 159 on the back nine at Greensburg Country Club, with East shooting 167 and Whiteland 199.
1974
“Expression ’74,” an exhibit by the commercial art department of Indiana Vocational Technical College, was on display at the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library. The exhibit was on display until June 21 and opened with a reception.
