Franklin College honors students for academic achievement

FRANKLIN, Ind. — Franklin College honored students for their exceptional scholarly efforts during the 2023-24 academic year with merit awards and scholarships at the annual Spring Honors Convocation in the Napolitan Student Center.

The following students from South Central Indiana were honored:

Chemistry & Physics Award

Jetta S. Norris, of Bloomington, received the Dr. Jerry L. Curnutt Endowed Scholarship.

Economics, Business & Accounting Awards

Derek B. Thompson, of Vallonia, received the Indiana Certified Public Accountants Award.

Stephanni A. Kleber, of Seymour, received the John D. Peterson Endowed Scholarship in Finance.

Brooke K. Stephens, of Columbus, received the John D. Peterson Endowed Scholarship in Finance and the George J. Cady Award.

Ryan A. Collins, of Seymour, received the E. Don & Joyce Tull Endowed Scholarship.

Stephanni A. Kleber, of Seymour, received the George J. Cady Award.

English & Creative Writing Award

Pen Bailey, of Bedford, received the English and Creative Writing Department Senior Award, Most Improved.

Mathematics & Computing Awards

Stephanni A. Kleber, of Seymour, received the Thorp Wolford Award for Excellence in Quantitative Analysis.

Brooke K. Stephens, of Columbus, received the Thorp Wolford Award for Excellence in Quantitative Analysis.

College Award

Pen Bailey, of Bedford, received the Ruth A. Callon Religious Activity Award.
