Bartholomew County

Kids Camp — 9 a.m. to noon, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 Fifth St., Columbus. Get ready for your child or preteen to experience a high energy fun filled week at St. Peter’s Kids Camp. Camp will be open to 3 year olds through current 5th graders. All camp participants will receive a T-shirt.

Library Babies — 10 to 10:30, 10:35 to 11, and 11:05 to 11:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This relaxed program is a baby-friendly introduction to storytime. Library Babies is geared toward children birth to 18 months and their caregivers. To register, call the children’s desk at 812-379-1288.

Rockin’ Storytime with Mr. Dave — 10 to 10:30 a.m., Hope Branch Library, 635 Harrison St., Hope. Enjoy a special storytime with Mr. Dave at the Hope Town Square bandstand every Thursday this summer.

USDA Summer Food Service Program — Noon to 1 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Food must be eaten on site and folks are not permitted to leave with the meals. Meals are free for children 18 years of age and under. Adults over the age of 18 may purchase a meal for $4.70.

Teen Thursgame — 1 to 4 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Every Thursday after school, play games including Dungeon Party, Unstable Unicorns, Wizard Kittens, Disney Sorcerer’s Arena, Here to Slay, and more.

Journey — 2 to 4 p.m., The Landmark, 729 Washington St., Columbus. Turning Point is excited to offer an interactive, peer-to-peer support system created to guide teens through some of the difficulties of life. Free and open to all local youth. Teen Dungeons and Dragons — 3 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Tragedy has struck. Solve a mysterious murder in the start of this two-part adventure. This game is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided. Registration required.

Columbus Park Board — 4 p.m., City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.

Author Talk — 8 to 9 p.m., online. Get your popcorn and take a seat as we pick the brain of the queen of twists herself, Freida McFadden. McFadden will join us to chat about writing psychological thrillers, her mega-bestselling hit The Housemaid series, in particular her forthcoming third installment, “The Housemaid Is Watching.”
