Area country-bluegrass singer Marla Jo Mason donated proceeds from 75 albums purchased online to Angels of Love, a holiday program operated by the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center.
1999
The band David’s Dance from Greensburg presented a free concert at the Columbus East High School football field as part of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. All proceeds raised were for cancer education and research.
1974
Local talent including Harry McCory and they Rhythmaires, the Bluegrass Classics, and Mr. Bones and Shadow headlined the first of five summer shows at the Donner Center shelter house. The shows were directed by Jack Whittington and promoted through the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department.
