FISHERS, FORMERLY OF COLUMBUS
Marilyn Jean (Holmes) Stultz, of Fishers and formerly of Columbus passed from this life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 2:57 p.m. at Grand Brook Memory Care of Fishers.
Mrs. Stultz was born on August 30, 1927, in Bedford, Indiana.
She graduated from Bedford High school in 1945. After her graduation, Marilyn worked at a local bank before marrying the love of her life, Kenneth Dale Stultz (marine veteran) on January 30, 1950. She spent the next few years working in the accounts payable department at Indiana University while Kenneth finished his degree from Indiana University. Following Kenneth’s graduation, they moved to Anderson, where they raised their three loving children, Robert Stultz, William Stultz (Kelly Stultz), Susan Hill (David Hill).
Marilyn enjoyed attending church, and Home Economics groups. Playing cards with friends and family was also one of her favorite pastimes. Over the years, Marilyn and Kenneth enjoyed traveling and camping with family and friends. They moved to Columbus, Indiana in 2003 before Kenneth’s passing in 2005. During her years in Columbus, she was a member of First Christian Church, where she enjoyed attending Sunday School and meeting new friends. She was an avid supporter of the Columbus North Band Program and all activities surrounding her grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; John and Helen (Quayle)Holmes, her brother; John W. Holmes, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by all of her children, her five grandchildren; Iyesha Stultz, Erik Stultz (Brandon Parry), Kylie Stultz-Dessent (Chris Dessent), Bryan Barrett (Stephanie Barrett), Bailey Stultz (Joseph Campbell) and six great grandchildren, Skyler Barrett, Austin Barrett, Olivia Stultz, Alex Barrett, Ashton Barrett, and Lark Dessent.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.
A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Anchor of Hope Hospice 971 Keystone Way N, Carmel, IN 46032.
