Christenie Lazzell, 67, of Columbus, passed from this life at 2:30 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2024, at Community Hospital South.
Mrs. Lazzell was born March 8, 1957, in Indianapolis.
Christenie was a homemaker and she enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and being with family.
Survivors include her husband, William D. Lazzell; son, William D. Lazzell Jr. of Waldron; siblings, Ida (Gary) Brizendine of Greenwood, Bobbie (Guy) Knaus of Brown County, Bendrew Neace of Greenwood and Randy Neace of Morgantown; several niece, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews; and close friends, Bobby Jo &Francis Carter of Indianapolis and Joyce McLine of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents, Robert Neace Jr., Imogene (Gum) Boyd and Dora Neace and a sister, Sheri Neace.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday and Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Eli Johnson officiating.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. to time of service.
Mrs. Lazzell will be laid to rest at the Nineveh Christian Church Cemetery in Nineveh, Indiana.
